A joint project of Osmotek and Carolina Biological Supply Corp., it contains a curriculum emphasizing plant technology techniques that lets you look at the entire scope of Plant tissue Culture. Designed to develop laboratory techniques and to teach basic biological principles within a highly motivating context. The course combines "hands-on" laboratory work, with a Student Manual, Teacher's Manual and Videos.

Module 1 : teaches basic tissue culture technology;
Module 2 : introduces plant morphogenesis techniques;
Module 3 : is a Journey from In Vitro propagation to a commercial product showing the interaction between technology and business.

Module 1 kit 3 : Alternative Growth Environments
The teacher's manual discusses different media ,the pros and cons of liquid versus solid media ,and the different gelling agents. The laboratory portion allows students to media to determine which promotes better growth for carrot callus and banana plantlets.

A module contains one or more kits, each designed for a class of up to 30 students. Kits
include materials for completing the exercises; an instructional video with a how -to section for the lab and plant technology-related career applications; and a teacher's manual of background
information , exercises, and student instructions. A Teaching Packet contains the teacher's manual and 30 student manuals.
